Client Stories
Our Story, Our Mission
Est. 2009
Ironbound Ink was founded in 2009 by Marcus Vane, a self-taught artist who believed that tattooing deserved the same reverence as fine art. What began as a single-chair studio in a Brooklyn basement has grown into one of the most respected tattoo destinations on the East Coast.
Our studio brings together a collective of twelve artists, each a specialist in their own right — from the hyper-realistic portraiture of Elena Cross to the bold neo-traditional linework of Dante Flores. We don't do cookie-cutter. Every piece that leaves our doors is original, intentional, and built to last a lifetime.
We believe the relationship between artist and client is sacred. That's why every appointment begins with a consultation, every design goes through revisions until it's right, and every aftercare instruction is followed up personally.
"We don't just tattoo skin — we tell stories, mark milestones, and transform flesh into living art that travels with you for the rest of your life."— Marcus Vane, Founder & Lead Artist

Expert Guidance
Your tattoo artist may have tailored advice based on the type of ink, your skin, and the tattoo's location.
Keep it on for the time your tattoo artist recommends, usually 2-4 hours.
After removing the initial bandage, gently wash the tattoo with lukewarm water and mild, liquid soap. Use your fingers to gently clean the area. Pat dry with a clean, soft towel or let it air dry.
With clean hands, apply JAZ Tattoo-Aftercare Cream. Apply freely 3 to 4 times a day. Avoid petroleum jelly or lotions with fragrances or dyes.
